Championship Sunday!

Mar 15, 2015, 1:05 PM EDT

No. 1  James Madison (28-3) vs. No. 3 Hofstra (20-11)

Ten things to know about today

10. Dukes going for their 8th CAA crown (1986-89, 2010, 2011, 2014); Hofstra seeking its first.

9. Pride does not have a senior on the roster.

8. Dukes fans have turned the Show Place Arena into a purple playground, but plenty of Hofstra folks take pride in their Pride. Pictured is Kelly Loftus’ mom, an ardent supporter of the team her daughter committed to as a sophomore. The Loftus family lives in nearby Alexandria, Va.

7.  Hofstra wins the headband competition. Pride wearing 7; Dukes 4. Sky Dig would be proud! Side note: Masks, JMU 1 (Toia Giggetts), Hofstra 0.

6. Pride is the only team that has beaten the Dukes in 2015, 63-62 on Feb. 22.

5. Hofstra cracked the 20-win mark for the fourth time in the Division I era with Saturday’s 45-42 defeat of Delaware.

4. JMU and Hofstra have never faced off in any round of the CAA Tournament.

3. With a win today, Hofstra Coach Krista Kilburn-Steveskey would have the 154th of her career, leaving her nine away from becoming the winningest coach in Pride history. JMU Coach Kenny Brooks became the Dukes’ all-time winningest coach earlier this season on Feb. 15. He is looking for win No. 310.

2. Both teams won by three in Saturday’s semifinals: Dukes defeated Elon 63-60; Hofstra beat Delaware 45-42.

1. It’s time for tipoff!
