In the words of Kenny Brooks ….

Mar 13, 2015, 2:36 PM EST

Some thoughts from the winningest James Madison coach in school history after the Dukes 64-49 victory over Towson in the CAA Tournament quarterfinals. CAA Player of the Year Precious Hall’s 19 points led four Dukes in double figures.

“It doesn’t go in a special win column if you win by 30 or if you win by two. It’s about survive and advance, and I thought we did a little bit more than that.”

“This is the best offensive team I’ve ever had. … The only reason I say they are the second best defensive team I’ve ever had is because they concentrate on the offense so much.”

“Me!” Brooks, when asked where point guard Angela Mickens gets her unselfish style from. Brooks was a former Dukes point guard (1998-91). Mickens broke the single-season assist mark in Friday’s game (226).
