Halftime: Northeastern 29, Hofstra 22

Northeastern swept the series with Hofstra this season and is seeking to advance to the CAA Tournament semifinals for the first time in school history behind CAA Coach of the Year Daynia La-Force.

Both teams got no offense from their top threats: The Pride’s Shante Evans, averaging 16.7 ppg, was held scoreless with two fouls in two minutes. The senior forward did not attempt a shot.

Huskies senior Deanna Kerkhof, averaging 15.5 ppg and 21 ppg since returning March 3 from an injury, picked up three fouls in nine minutes and went 0-of-2 from the field.

Carrying the way for Northeastern: A’lece Mark with nine. Deven Green came off the bench for seven points to lead Hofstra.

Northeastern dominating the boards 26-14; Evans, ranked eighth nationally in rebounds,  has just one for Hofstra.
