Getting to know UNCW’s Alisha Andrews

Mar 9, 2012, 11:19 PM EDT

Nope, we won’t harp on her small stature. UNCW’s Alisha Andrews has a giant game and it was on display when the Seahawks advanced to Saturday’s semifinals with a 94-87 victory over Hofstra.

Does coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke have a soft side?

”OK, sometimes maybe off the court. At practice she plays with us. When we’re not running the play right, she shows us the right way. I always tell her she’s old.”

Your routine before a game?

“Listening to music. I like this music group from Atlanta: Rich Kids.”

What would surprise others about you?

“I’m quiet. I get into a mood where I don’t want to talk to anyone. I think a lot.”

A player you admire?

“Ivory Latta. I met her at her skills camp, but I doubt she’d remember me.”

After the season …..

“I just want to go home and eat my mom’s spaghetti.”
