Postgame: JMU/Delaware

Mar 13, 2011, 7:47 PM EDT

James Madison: Dawn Evans (24 points, 8 assists, 8 turnovers, 2 steals, 6-of-10 from 3); Lauren Jimenez (12 points, 14 rebounds); Courtney Hamner (15 points, 5-of-8 from 3); Tarik Hislop (13 points)

Delaware: Elena Delle Donne (23 points, 10-of-11 free throws, 6 rebounds, 4 blocks); Lauren Carra (12 points)

Attendance: 2,173

Delaware coach Tina Martin: “We’d miss layups when we got the score within range, within striking distance, and 6 is striking distance. You’ve got to make some of those shots and we kept coming up emptyhanded.”

Delle Donne: “Nikki Newman did a phenomenal job defending me. Obviously, I’m extremely disappointed. I could have done a lot more offensively, but things happen and you’ve got to move on and do something in the postseason.”

Delle Donne on fatigue: “No excuses. I was ready to go. I certainly have to take care of myself now because I’ll be hurting a while. But we’ll be fine.”
