JMU coach Kenny Brooks, whose Dukes outscored the Rams 43-28 in the second half: “I think I said a few things at halftime. The kids worked too hard too long not to give their best effort.”

Dawn Evans, who started the game 0-of-10 from the field and finished with 20 points, on her shot: “I just found it.”
