Mar 12, 2011, 10:08 PM EDT

Delaware: Elena Delle Donne (29 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 7 blocks, 39 minutes); Jocelyn Bailey (11 points)

UNC Wilmington Alisha Andrews (13 points); Martha White (10 points)

UNC Wilmington field-goal percentage: 27 percent

Delaware blocks: 11 (ties a tournament record)

First time a seventh seed has advanced to title game since 1993 (W&M)

Delaware coach Tina Martin walking into her third straight press conference as the winner: “We’re back again.”

Martin on Hens first CAA championship game appearance since 2005: “We’ve been away for a bit. We are back where we belong, and that’s in the championship game.”

Martin on momentum: “We are like a freight train right now. We’ve got to calm down and get that freight train moving again at 1 o’clock tomorrow.”

What Martin was shouting when 4-11 Alisha Andrews was pitted against 6-5 Delle Donne: “Mismatch.”

Andrews’ thoughts: “It was like guarding a giant.”

Martin on whether the rest of the Hens grew stronger when Delle Donne missed 11 games with what later was diagnosed as Lyme disease: “When you have a player like Elena Delle Donne, any game she misses doesn’t help anything. I don’t ever — and Elena, this is a message to you — want to be without you again and that goes for all of my players.”

Bailey on possible fatigue: “I just hope I can sleep tonight.”
